Born in Brisbane to Chinese Malaysian parentage. Her parternal grandparents are from Fuijian Province in Southern China. Her maternal grandparents are from Guangzhou Province, also in Southern China.

Completed her first public art commission as part of
Art Built-in South Bank courtesy of the Queensland government.
Exhibited first papercut installation Starter Space,
an emerging artist program run by the
Queensland Art Gallery.
Studied papercutting in several regional centres in China courtesy of an
Australia China Council general funding grant.
Contributed to Echoes of Home, an exhibition curated by
Christine Clark that toured Australia including galleries such as
Goulburn Regional Gallery, RMIT Gallery and the Museum of Brisbane.
Completed her first commercial solo exhibitions at
Heiser Gallery in Brisbane and Boutwell Draper Gallery in Sydney..
Acquired by the Art Gallery of South Australia.
Undertook a Creative Sparks Lord Mayor's Young and Emerging Artist Fellowship
through the Brisbane City Council. Her residency was at the
Pickled Art Centre, a foundry in Beijing.
Exhibited by fellow grant recipient Louise Rollman at the
International Studios and Curatorship Program in New York City.
Commissioned by the Northern Territory Government
to produce a sculpture for the Darwin Convention Centre.
Commenced exhibiting in Beijing through a variety of galleries including
Red Gate Gallery, Two Lines Gallery and Egg Gallery.
Exhibited in Heavenly Bodies at 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art in Sydney.
Acquired by the National Gallery of Australia.
Completed her first international commission at
The Opposite House in Beijing curated by Alison Pickett.
Received a Australia Council for the Arts Professional Development Grant, subsequently undertaking a residency at the University of Massechusetts, contributing to the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival in Ithaca NY and the Conflux Festival in New York City. The later resulted from a colaboration with the Brooklyn based art collective The Eh Team.
Contributed One World, One Home, curated by Catherine Croll at the
Qing Tong Museum in City of Ordos, Inner Mongolia
Undertook a tri-national community art project
exploring environmental conservation titled The Brown Cloud
Gave birth to her daughter Jasmin.
Commissioned a suite of sculptures for Transience,
an exhibition that toured Queensland curated by Karen Tyler from the
Moreton Bay Regional Council.
Completed a collaboration with Lacoste Stevenson Architects and Frost Design in Sydney. The public artwork was acknowledged with a AIA NSW Chapter Small Project Award and a Sydney Design Award.
Contributed to Made in China, an art exhibition curated by Greg Leong that toured nationally including galleries such as Salamanca Arts Centre, Adelaide Festival Centre and Grafton Regional Gallery.
Facilitated the community art project Horsing Around in conjunction with
Cultural Partnerships as part of the City of Sydney Chinese New Year celebrations.
Completed a large collaboration with Mirvac and
Willoughby City Council in New South Wales.
Created an animation and series of papercut installations titled The Float with the support of an
Arts Queensland grant.
The community art project engaged over
100 young people across
Australia, Canada,
China and the United States of America.
Staged the happening and exhibition title Yarn at Goulburn Regional Gallery.
Contributed towards Traditions Now at the State Library of Queensland.
Completed the commission Flower by the Gate on Albert Street in the CBD for Brisbane City Council.
Contributed to So Fine: Contemporary Women Artists Make History
at the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra.
Contributed to City of Sydney Lunar New Year Lantern Festival at Circular Quay. Awarded a Doctor of Philosophy at the Queensland College of Art, Griffith University. Received a category award at Libris Awards: The Australian Artists' Book Prize Book Prize. Artwork collected by the Huaxia Papercutting Museum in Changsha, China.
